I fished it once about 10 years ago and we used carolina rigs with stud frys. Any other tips for catching bass?

We used to catch a lot of bass on Pumpkinseed worms...

Mines a swimbait they havent seen them there.

There's a lot of new baits they haven't seen I can't wait to get out there!!!!

I think I will wait about 6 months before I attempt to go. Kinda like when they open a new restraunt in Granbury, its gonna be nuts. All the fish are all gonna go into shock and swim upstream in the pipe that feeds from Lake Granbury to get away from all the rabid fishermen. I am going to fish right by the pump station on Granbury the day Squaw opens and catch all the fish comin out of that pipe!

I have been fishing from the bank nearly every weekend fall thru spring since they let employees fish it...some days nothing or just a couple and other days we catch and release 30 fish..use rattle traps or spinnerbaits early off the points then switch to plastic fished SLOW in as close as you can get to the trees..(blue fleck early and watermelon flukes later). a few fish still left on beds but most have moved off... and if you find schooling shad, there are schooling bass near them especially off the points. Catfishing is ridiculous right now... limits from the bank almost anywhere. I was fishing next to a guy catfishing... he had is 25 before 9 am... I recommend culling small ones if you catfish. There are so many cats that I keep catching them on bass lures.. It should be opening to the public soon they just haven't announced the date.

Friday May 7th, employees that helped with the clean up will get to go fishing on the lake IN THEIR BOATS. I'm like a kid waiting on Christmas morning!!!! I sure hope my little spot still holds fish, Used to tie up to a tree and fish a spot about the size of my living room. 3 and 4lbers every other cast with some up to 8lbs mixed in. Its gotta be 8 and 9lbers every other cast now with some DAG GUMMS mixed in!!!!!

I'll be out there Mothers Day. Really looking forward to it.

I will be there Friday and Sunday hope the wind will let us fish all the old holes we fished back when. Not sure what to expext bank fish has been tough the last few weeks.
