Hi folks, we've got a long range private charter tuna trip we're putting together that needs a few more fishermen to sail.
Early in 2010 we were asked to see if we could put together a series of tuna trips that would be all-inclusive with hats, fishing shirts, fish pots, meals/drinks, etc and try do them as private charters.
After full consideration, we booked the October 8th-10th, 2010 weekend on the Scat Cat of Fisherman's Wharf in Port Aransas, Texas for this 56 hour charter.
Long story short, our attempt hasn't worked out to fill this initial trip with at least 20 fishermen.
We have 13 fishermen committed to this trip and 2 others that won't know until their work schedules come out in July.
We're getting close to running out of time to make sure this charter runs properly as a fully committed charter, so with the approval of those already on board we've changed this charter to our annual TBB charter, reduced the benefits/goodies (and consequently total cost) and are going public with it.
Bottom line, T.O.O. is trying to fulfill our obligation to those that have paid a deposit make this charter happen in a reduced capacity and cost.

TBB '10 Charter specifics:
Texas Bluewater Blowup-'10
Date: October 8th-10th, 2010
Length of charter: 56 hours, 2-1/4 days
Boat: MVS Scat Cat
Dock: Fishermans Wharf, Port Aransas, Texas
Minimum Number fishermen: 20
Maximum Number fishermen: 24
Departure time: 8 am, Friday October 8th, 2010
Return time: 4 pm Sunday October 10th, 2010
Types of fishing: night time tuna fishing, daytime deep drop, trolling, casting methods
Fishing locations: Boomvang/Nancen and Diana/Hoover areas, or Perdido Spar, etc (captains decision)
Included: Per person; Charter cost, 8 meals and drinks, boat gear
Not included: Fishing license, personalized fishing equipment, fish cleaning, alcoholic drinks
Cost:$735 per person
(T.O.O. will try to reduce the total cost of the meals over the following months to lower the overall cost to each fishermen.)
Deposit: $275 (has to be paid to be considered committed)
Balance due: $460 paid by September 24th, 2010

As of now, folks can sleep on the Scat Cat the night before the trip as it's been offered before.

While we have 2 tunaheads hoping their schedule will allow them to go, they understand, as well as everyone else should, that the opens spots are on a first pay, first go condition.
We are looking for tunaheads that are interested the teamwork, camaraderie, and helping out that comes with a planned private long range tuna charter.
T.O.O. still plans to have a few extra things and the total cost will include one extra "goody" for all on board.
Our menu is leaning towards the following choices (All foods cooked on board, no cooked and vacuum sealed foods this trip):
Spaghetti, Big Easy "Fried" turkey, steaks, baked potatoes, breakfast tacos, chicken fajita tacos, fresh grilled fish, Celebrity Cole Slaw, hamburgers/cheeseburgers, etc, along with various snacks and sandwich foods. We'll also provide water, tea, coffee, orange drink, lemonade, and some soft drinks for all on board.

If interested in joining this 56 hour charter, call us at (210) 215-3877 or email us at: too@outdoorstexas.com and we'll go from there.
As this is a private charter, we require an email response to secure a spot. We have a group TBB '10 email list going and as most know, T.O.O. is very big on communication and informing folks of what is going on with all our trips.

We need to get a minimum of 20 tunaheads, and will take up to the limit of 24, so there are 5-7 spots available depending on the two that will know in July. However, as mentioned it is first commit, first on board for the spots available.
Again, holler at us if interested in this 56 hour tuna trip.

SkR, yes you can, you'd be responsible for the deposit payment of your spot on Nueve Tuna until you sell your spot.
We'd try to help find a buyer as we've always done, but selling a spot is the responsibility of the tunahead on these tuna trips.
Keep us informed, and we'll post that you want to sell your spot on the TFF Nueve Tuna charter.
If we find a buyer for your spot, we'll deal with the payments needed to make everything copacetic. Fair enough?

Good enough, we posted on the Nueve Tuna thread and will send a number of emails out from our offshore category email and see if anyone wants to buy your spot.
We'll keep you informed of any buyers and all we ask if you do the same. Don't want you to have to deckhand to pay off any debts........ 'course Snagged might suggest using you for Mako bait. grin

After going on the past three Texas Bluewater Blowups in 07, 08 and 09 I am wondering how this trip got this far along without receiving any notification.

I knew Martin didn't like the tequila I brought. stir

Bobby, this trip was not a TBB type trip until we renamed it last week after cutting some planned benefits and stuff and reducing the total cost along with those cuts in services and goodies.
T.O.O. had no plan to do a TBB style trip in 2010, this trip was renamed TBB'10 only to give it something that folks would recognize, as what the guys on the trip do want is meals provided while on board.
If T.O.O. had attempted to put together a TBB trip earlier in 2010, you would have been emailed and informed of that charter development.
If you're interested in joining TBB'10, let us know. You are most welcome on TBB'10, you'd be a great addition to the group on TBB'10.
Our only concern and focus is making sure those committed or wanting to commit, and the 4-5 that still need to make sure they can go get to fish on that weekend as they are counting on T.O.O. to make this trip happen.

Trlr, we will be sending out an update to TBB'10 on Friday. We are at 16 paid and confirmed and 4 that will be able to give us an answer by the end of May.
There is a group of 5 Texas tunaheads that you know that haven't committed but usually do, so we may be maxed out real soon.
We'll keep you informed, as we truly appreciate your support on these type charters.
Start thinking of what name you want folks to see as well the what you want on the menu, if Big Easy Fried Turkey, steak, sausage/egg tacos, Cole Slaw, fresh grilled fish, baked potatoes, garden salad, chicken fajitas tacos, pancakes, etc, is not of your liking.
