Well I was headin out to Belton in my FIL's bass buster to fish by myself(my friend flaked on me), and my wife decided to head out with me! She's scared off bein on the water in a boat, much less a small boat such as this. Needless to say, she was a trooper and handled it pretty well. We didnt catch anything at first and she was getting restless, so we decided to troll with some crankbaits up and down the shoreline. I ended up catchin a 3 1/2 lb smallie and she caught a small white bass! All in all, a VERY good outing with the wife for the first time and she actually had a good time and enjoyed it! Not bad for a city-fied(sp) girl in the outdoors!

I like it when my wife goes every now and then!!Sounds like a nice day.good story.

The ONLY bad thing was she forgot to put sunscreen on and now she says she looks like "louie the lobster"!

Be proud of the wife every day, that is the way to go. (Yes I know it is harder some days than others, but they do have to put up with us as well...)

Rob! But this was MORE special seeing as she's not an outdoors type of girl. She got out there and REALLY started to enjoy it! ALWAYS a bonus!

I understand. It is extra special for sure when you get them on the water or just on the trip with you.

My wife enjoys going with me some usually have the kids with us when she comes.I actually ran into buzzfrog yesterday and I had her and the kids we went bream fishing just to keep kids happy catching something. I looked great without baitcasters and 7ft rods but instead barbie combos and pink zebco 33's LOL oh well those are memories the wife and kids will always remember.And she is a city girl too.

Ha ha.and I actually had the wife's little purse dog with little pink bows in her hair fishing with me.Driller I must say you got a great looking family and it seems like they got a great dad and husband.the kiddos need to appreciate the good old outdoors and gave the chance to wet a hook.

Well I think I got her hooked cuz she wants to go again today! Have to get the boys off to school and daycare and hit up Belton again!
