Can anyone help me identify this fish? I caught it on a little plastic minnow lure while bank fishing on Lake Lewisville

I agree with freshwater Drum..
Is that kin to a saltwater Croaker???
Looks just like a Croaker and Croaker is dang good eating!!!!!!

Thanks for the help identifying this fish everyone. How would you cut this up for hybrid bait? Just cut some steaks or filet it? Looks just like a Croaker and Croaker is dang good eating!!!!!! I thought it was a croaker too. Looks just like the ones I used to catch down in New Orleans.
