I finally did it! Registered. I have appreciated all of the information posted on this forum and decided to jump in.
I recently became (or trying to become ) a fisherman after too many years out of the water. I don't know, call it mid-life crisis, but we bought our first boat two years ago in June. We were coming back from vacation (visiting folks back home in Montana) and stopped at Cabela's in Sidney, NE. They just happened to be having a boat show/sale and we tested the wheel bearings out on a 16' Lowe by pullin it back to Texas.
I have had great enjoyment learning how to fish and boat and the TFF has been a great help.
Just when everyone has help me figure some area lakes, RC being the favorite, we will be moving to Burnet soon. But I am sure the water will be fine down there as well.

Burnet Durnet can't you learn it? Welcome! Drive thru there often and that saying always pops into my head. My college roommate was a counselor at Longhorn and that is what he always said when somebody mispronounced the name of the town......

Hey wildcat I just happened to check my calendar and see FISHIN' on the 25th and 26th with a partial on the 24th. AND the calendar also says those are supposed to be some of the best days of the year.
I will definitely let you know if I break your hog record!

Well I have a future fishing buddy that I am going to be enjoying around those times. Plus I will have some visitors from the state of TN here to entertain.
Where will you be fishing those days? When are we going to hit some lakes around Burnet?
