I almost didn't go...Sunday morning radar at 4:30am showed a large area of rain from Fort Worth and North East for a hundred miles. The rain band was at least 25 miles wide and stretched over Lake Lewisville, Ray Roberts...and my house..., but it wasn't raining at my house? Did some more investigation on the Weather Channel and Accuweather, and they both had radar showing all the widespread rain? I went to the lake and saw that none of the rain was actually making it to the ground! No wet roads anywhere, but high wispy rain clouds everywhere...Really crazy weather condition, but it was a dry, light wind and perfect air temps around 60.
Fish Report...Water temps 66-68 around the lake, Hybrids and Sandbass on mid-lake humps and secondary points still. Caught 10 Hybrids on the day with the biggest to 8 lbs. All released except one gut-hooked. Shad seem to be preparing to spawn and really gathering up shallow early.

We went out Sunday evening, haven't been able to catch any hybrids. We were able catch plenty of decent sand bass at the points with a blue and silver rattle trap. It was a good day out there, a lot of boats and everyone was friendly.

I was out Sunday as well. I had fun in the early a.m. hours on lures then switched over to bait once we got some wind. It was a "see what's going on" day for me. I've been chasing the whisker fish of lately out on LL. All my fish were released until I gut hooked a sandbass. Just to make it worth bringing home a fish I kept 4 sandies for dinner. Seemed to me that the shad spawn on the south end is a little behind the north end. I showed water temps of 65 all day. This week should really kick off on the south end. South winds all week and I seen a report of a high of 92 on Thursday A little tip for you guys catching bait down in the Tower Bay area. I wasted to much time with the cast net Sunday morning. Once I got up into 1 fow and threw my net almost up on the bank, is when I started catching good numbers of shad. Big gizzards can be caught around the slips. If your not catching - go shallower.
