Went running around to day as it was too nice to stay home when I found this at Lynn Creek Marina at Joe Pool.

Excellent pics...were they just out there in the marina side or in some enclosure. Could we catch/fish for them?

Its just off the walk way going towards the store. They feed them their all the time so there thousands of them. Private shoreline with no fishing signs, but you could get there via boat and do all the carping you wanted.

People fish from whatever it is at the top left of the pic all the time. I always worry about being nailed by a hook/weight when walking over the bridge that the pic was taken from. But I haven't ever seen that many fish there before. That is really pretty cool. I might have to take the boy down there.
But I agree with AgSellers. The bass in that lake deserve some kind of vegetation. Ok, so the bass fishermen deserve it.
Those carp wouldn't be so hungry if Lynn Creek Marina wouldn't kill all the water weeds.

They have it blocked now so a boat will not be able to get in. The fishing barge was moved in closer to the shoreline and is within say 50 feet of where the carp are fed. (To the right as you face the fish from the shore.)
The were four large schools of them when I was there. So the picture only represents about 1/4 of the fish I could actually see being fed.

Those are common carp not grass carp which is completly different. The common carp prefer insects, crustaceans, zooplankton and worms over grass. The grass carp is the one that eats all of the grass. The grass carp and common carp are not related but often confused.

What camera did you use to take the photos? That second one came out really nice in quality!

The grass carp and common carp are not related but often confused. Yes, but they are omnivorous, they also eat vegetation.
