Jay, what you started with was a lot worse off than mine. I know how much work I had to do to get mine looking like it is. You had to do double the work I did.

Awesome job man thumb Now let's go take her to Monti next fall and get some scratches grin

Nice boat, thats the Exact same boat I had, I loved it! You didnt buy that boat from a guy in central Texas did you? It looks exactly like mine, but I sold it to an older gentleman In Temple Texas before I got stationed in Hawaii.
That boat got me hooked on Champions, its a great hull, and I love the layout of the boat. Looks like your hard work has really paid off, looks great! congrats.

Thanks guys for all the encouragement, and no eddie978n, got it from Spanky here on the forum.

He got it from the original owner, a guy in Fort Worth that own's a Floor Company. Original engine was blown and someone else he knew wanted it for parts.

Boat needed a lot of work and an engine, but I'm getting closer to the finish line. Went out today with the family. Engine was frustrating. Needs some tuning to say the least. But getting closer and enjoying it.

Outstanding work!!!! Please post pictures on how you installed the flipping deck and the recessed TM pad. Have you GPS yours yet? I was able to get 52 with mine w/ 2 people 400lbs 1/2 tank of gas and full gear.

Good judgment comes from experience, and a lot of that comes from bad judgment.

Well I haven't done the trolling recess or the flippin deck yet. I've got everything ready, maybe next week? I hope? I will post some pics when I do it though.

I GPS'd at 58-59 last week, it was flirting with 60. I'm currently running a 23p Tempest Plus and it's set 3 1/2 inches below pad. No jackplate yet, that's next. Still have to pull the fuel tank soon to find a livewell leak too.

Philbones, just for comparison's sake, what prop are you running now?
