Hard to say hello when they are talking and will not even look in your direction.
Most of the time it is no big deal as i know what I want and can find it eventually.
This time, I needed some help looking at and asking about the rods.
No biggie, I went to Bass Pro and found what I wanted. Falcon Bucco.....seems sweet so far.
Southwestern Parts, Bass Pro, Academy, Tackle Warehouse, Ichiban Tackle, and other places are more than willing to help. If I left any out it is because I haven't used them....I understand Crucial Tackle and Brannons are both great.
The only thing I have ever just had to have from there was Hag's Tornado when Tackle Warehouse did not have any in stock.
I am sure they will be fine without me and I will be without them.

I had a old shimano bantam reel that I saved and bought with allowance age 12. They fixed it and cleaned it for me and treated me like I was spending alot. Not trying to disagree, just saying they treated me good.

They have always treated me well, and were great with advice, when I asked for it. And they leave you alone if you don't.

A low pressure sales environment, which many many people prefer, can easily be confused with be disingenuous. I personally like not having someone trying to sell to me constantly. If you asked for help but were ignored, that's one thing, but if you wander around waiting for them to come to you then you'll be there a while.

key, royce, and jimmy sue are awesome people i agree with fish magnet - i like a sales team that leaves me alone as well for the most part - and when i go into fishin world and ask a question we all end up talking for like 30 mintues
when i go in there (and i go in a lot because they have things there i can't really find other places and i take orders for specific items for my friends in my hometown) i tell them that i only have like 5 mintues so i've got to hurry
i usually end up talking with them for at least 10-15 minutes - many times up to 30 and i kill my lunch hour and have to end up getting drive through
maybe the guy that looked like "money" .......asked them a question +1 I love those guys and go there all the time!! I think your post says more about you than it does about them. They are VERY respected in the fishing community.

Been going there for years, sense I can remember. I do not think I have spent more than $75 at one time. Always get a good hello , if ya need any help just ask ( as they go about with their jobs of stocking stuff, taking orders, answering the phones...etc I even take my boys in there. Never had a problem getting info or help. Granted I might have to wait my turn if there are other people in there being helped. But maybe you just want to but in and get your help no matter if other customers are first.

Let us review this Jon,
You see....the other customer was leaving
There were two guys working
One guy was not participating in the conversation
I did not butt in....nor would I
Just because you have had good experiences doesn't mean I have
Maybe I am just UGLY and they did not want to help. Maybe I am better of ordering on the internet.
Just relaying what happened.

OK going on YOUR review..... They where LEAVING, which i am sure to most of us on here means they where in the act of but had not done so. In the rational thinking that I just stated the guys working where in fact still in the process of tending to a customer that had required assistance prior to your arrival. Sense they where in the process of leaving which I derived from your statement and review and in the rational thinking I previously stated their lack of helping you still constitutes you think your should take priority over a customer they are doing their job with? Does that also mean that you get the right of way when your light is still red, but the other light is changing? I hope I do not have to proceed through a green light in Forney with you around.

I think that being a small store in the middle of Park Cities gives people a certain impression before they even walk through the door. The first time I walked in there I felt the same way - sort of out of place? After I asked Royce and then Key a few questions, you will get more help than you could have ever wished for!. I now find that people go out of their way to shop at Fishin World to get all of the additional one-on-one - like the conversation is worth more than the mechandise being bought. I bought some swimbaits from Key on Saturday and then came back in a busy store to ask him about hook sizes, and he insisted on me going back out to my truck to get the swimbaits to ensure that I rigged them properly. Key was busy selling a reel to another guy, and that guy said that he would wait until he showed me how best to rig those swimbaits. Fishin World is awesome!!! If you need something from those guys, all you have to do is ask. Please go try Fishin World again...
