Well, i have waited for the hybrids to make a re-surgance at Ray Hubbard and this year is the year. Over the past 2 weeks we have boated (and released) at least 20 hybrids ranging from 7-14 lbs respectively. Hope this trend continues. Also RH is producing some of the biggest sandies i have seen in recent years as well. If you are having the problem of catching too many little ones, move! Trust me there are many many big ones to be caught!

Tell me your methods for catching hybrid and sandies. I have been out to RH twice now and been skunked. I have fished the Powerplant jetty, Robinson park sandbar, Rush Creek with no luck using a little george, spoon, and slab. What time of day? Also Hybrid...I have joined the pack of boats down by the dam and just to the north of there on the humps with no luck on sassy shad. I can see the fish on my finder around 28ft, but no bites. Please help.

Well, first off if there are a bunch of boat somewhere, i generally get away from them. Also don't bother going near the power plant this time of year. There is a place called the peanut on the main lake side of the jetty about halfway down that is a great place to catch sandies and the occasional hybrid. You need to be fishing near the dam on the gravel pits, however the fish are holding on a spot that goes from 35 ft to 18 ft in about 10 yards. I can't explain where it is but if you graph, you'll find it. That's where i have been catching the big fish. Good luck!
