Iam kinda amazed the front of the boat is out of the water, no ranger can float that much weight I believe that is a Skeeter. Correct me if I'm wrong.. yeah it is but what i was getting at is a ranger would have already sank

RedRanger, this thread is pure greatness, even if you do have the piles and walk funny! Thanks for keeping it real folks!

Everyone will agree a Ranger will beat you to death. It has to be the worse riding boat on the market. Oh, and it drives nose down just like a crankbait

I see a couple of cracks, but not in the hull. I also see a few people that have the potential of having no light bulbs in their house! Give me some sunglasses I just fell out of my chair and cracked my head from laughing at this!

Skeeters... are sleek look good but coolers can't hold ice for longer then an hour. Rod boxes and compartments leak water and you get stress cracks.
Basscats...Fast and look good but the roughest riding boat outthere of all the top 5 boat makers.
Legends/Hawk...Once you buy one you are stuck for ever with it because the resale value will kick your azz. Nobody will buy a used Legend.
Triton...Bless their heart they are trying, I will leave this one alone.
Champions...Very good boat , fishes good but just a little on the rough side for me.
Rangers...Not the fastest boat but by far the best all around boat bar none.
The rest so called boats that try and call themselves bassboats are nothing short of being the laughing stock of the fishing world. I bought an 8 year old Triton, first boat I ever have owned and I like it. But my plan was in 2 years get something much newer and "nicer". But this dang thread made me think I will just buy a pontoon boat... A "party barge" ! lol

Just a question , has a boat ever broken in two from these "stress cracks" ? It's the gel coat cracking not the fiberglass. In some cases it can indicate a problem with the glass, but more often than not it's purely cosmetic. I must drive a little too fast, because I got stress cracks on the Triton and the Ranger around the gas caps. Go figure. You are suppose to remove the pump knozzle when finished pumping.....lol

The way I see it, there's 2 kinds of boat owners.....There are those that will spare no expense to by the best (Ranger)...And there are those that settle for less (anything else).
Oh...And I think in most cases the rough ride is due to the driver with any of these hulls these days.

Probable cause you nailed it. Ther will be some Bullet haters cause 1. they have never been in a 21 footer and 2. They are skeered and could not drive one anyway.

yea you need a 5 way safety belt to fish out of a bullet. one wrong move by you or your partner and your overboard......very unstable fishing platform... come to the greatness that is skeeter
skeeters stable as an aircraft carrier. you bullet guys spend all day burning gas and racing each other, us skeeter guys will see you at the weigh in.

how about this for a head scratcher, how do you figure a 1300 pound boat takes rough water better than a 2000 pound boat?
answer, they dont. Those bullets sound like tin cans going through heavy waves and I know kevlar and all that... but still sounds funny to me
if I were running rivers and need to go 50-60 miles in smooth water, I would own a bullet. for resevoirs in texas...ill take mine rare
