That's because the Legend, felt the presence of a Skeeter owner in the boat and didnt like it.

One day Ronnie, maybe you will come to your senses, and get a "real" boat.

If he wants a "real" boat, he can get a Legend.

If he wants a REAL boat, he will buy a Basscat.

I had a ZX180 that I ran everywhere and fished out of for 9 yrs. That boat had a few stress cracks in it but what a hoss. Road rough, fished great. Loved it and so did my buddy so he bought it and he can put some more stress cracks in it. Thats just what they do. I think its just a give and take. Each brand has pro's and con's. Like Ford,Dodge, and Chevy all make good trucks just like the boat manufacturer's and all can make a bad one once in awhile. Any boat that floats and can get you to the fishin hole is a good one in my book.

Just a question , has a boat ever broken in two from these "stress cracks" ?

guys guys guys. Skeeters are just fine if you come prepared. I am fishing out of one this weekend. I have my jock strap with protective cup (for obvious reasons), back brace (to protect against that famous skeeter smooth ride), motorcycle helmet (so when it makes that notorious wave slap that Skeeter is known for my head doesn't go through the console), and extra clothes (for that dry ride). Stress cracks are the least of my worries! Oh and Skeeter owners just have Ranger Envy.

It's the gel coat cracking not the fiberglass. In some cases it can indicate a problem with the glass, but more often than not it's purely cosmetic.

cheers

I must drive a little too fast, because I got stress cracks on the Triton and the Ranger around the gas caps. Go figure.

Skeeters... are sleek look good but coolers can't hold ice for longer then an hour. Rod boxes and compartments leak water and you get stress cracks.

Basscats...Fast and look good but the roughest riding boat outthere of all the top 5 boat makers.

Legends/Hawk...Once you buy one you are stuck for ever with it because the resale value will kick your azz. Nobody will buy a used Legend.

Triton...Bless their heart they are trying, I will leave this one alone.

Champions...Very good boat , fishes good but just a little on the rough side for me.

Rangers...Not the fastest boat but by far the best all around boat bar none.

The rest so called boats that try and call themselves bassboats are nothing short of being the laughing stock of the fishing world.

Well now we have a non-biased review of most of the cookie cutter bassboats. My doctor keeps telling me at my advanced age to slow down a little. I told him I was not getting a Ranger, no matter what he said.
