Its not the rain to debate about.....its the wind.

It's not the rain or wind, it's the lightning.

I caught my biggest tournament stringer of my life in a pouring down rain. My first 5 casts of the day on Amistad and I had over 32 pounds. I love fishing in the rain!!! It's the wind that I watch out for!

Agreed.

Lightning is scary. I've heard stories about boats floating around with a dead fisherman in it with a burn hole in the back of the head.

Go, but don't be stupid. We drove to lake Athens last weekend watching lightening all the way from Mesquite. Got to the lake and it was clear...for about two hours. We were killin' em then the next waive moved in and when I saw the first lightening bolts (which is sometimes too late) we headed in. Got off the water just a few minutes before the leading edge of the storm hit with winds in the 50mph range+ had to pull over, could only see about 20 feet in front of me. If we hadn't of headed in when we did we would have been toast. I even checked the radar before we got on the water and it looked like nothing but clear skies for several hours. Wrong. Go fish but get off the water quick if you have to and have a book to sit and read in the truck.

Go, if there is a 40 percent chance of rain... There is a 60% chance that its not going to rain. Win win.

I can't believe your asking such a silly question. With a T-storm moving in, it changes barometric pressure causing the fish to eat, so you tell me if you should go or not.
