I may be getting a center console in a few weeks and it only has one livewell on the transom, it has two ice chests under the driver seat and the front seat. Was wondering if anyone knew if I could convert the front seat ice chest to a livewell as well and if so is a difficult and expensive thing to do.

Depends on how functioinal/'clean' you want it to be. Do you want it to fill/drain with a pump or just have a recirculator. If your not too picky you could just throw a floating aerator in and run wires to your battery.

I guess I'm not to picky, mainly just don't want to have to walk to the back would like to have something closer and one for the back guy to use, I would assume the cooler already drains since it is a ice chest, the water has to go somewhere once it melts. Thnx for the good idea

By drain i meant a pump out not just a valve. Just keep some fresh water in it and if you use it for an actual ice chest clean it out before you put fish in there. Be careful with the texas heat. Without fresh/cool water it won't take long to lose one

Put ice in the cooler and be done with it.
