Bought 2 several years ago, I can always tell a good rod because it is the one that i always pick up first. Light and tough are those rods, very good, strong, sensitive and fairly light. I do not think you will go wrong purchasing one.

They are bad to the bone, there even better with a revo on them. When your fishing a 6-8 hour tourney it makes a difference at the end of the day.

There's a fine line between fishing and just standing on the boat looking like an idiot.

I have not used them for a few years but I know they used to be real junk. The worst quality rods I had ever used. I was sponsored by Diawa for 2 years and I dropped them because both their rods and reels fell apart way to fast. I would not spend the money on them myself.

You dropped Daiwa! Wow!
My 2 cents, they are a very good rod. They just seemed limited on the actions they supplied. And I didn't care for the bulb type handle on some of them. I don't think you would be disappointed. If you had a choice of the Daiwa rods, look at the Green ones, TDS's.

I think they are awesome rods! I have one and I love the reel seat. If I was not going to use Falcons, I would have all Diawa Light & Toughs.

I use them almost exclusively, even for light salt water. A well built, light, and tough rod series. Not a bad price either.

Im gonna call foul on this one. Unless you were trying to grind meat with the gears in the reels and drive cattle with the graphite they are not junk.

I haev been using Daiwa a long time. Also field tested those LT rods before the were ever released.

Never have I heard of, seen, or experienced the "issues" this poster speaks of.

FOR THE MONEY they are one of the most durable and sensitive rods on the market.

No kidding.....dropping Daiwa.....?

Have you seen or used any of the STEEZ rods or reals. I wouldn't consider that junk and probably the best on the market right now

i bought a Diawa flipping stick a little after Denny Braur won the 1999 bassmaster classic and it was a great rod, i actual sold it about two years ago and the guy still has it

and yall cant tell me yall never feel for the "he uses it so i want it deal", look at all your yellow rods

but back to the point they are a good rod, it will serve you well

I love my Light and tuff flipping rods. I have two of them rigged with Revo S,s and they are great. In fact they will hopefully be getting a work out this weekend at falcon !!!
