I heard we had wind gust to 43 today. I met my group at 6:00 and had breakfast with them and discussed the wind and the fishing. I decided to run my 24ft Skeeter and we were going to shoot docks with a south wind break. The problem is that every time you shot your line a gust would blow it out from under the dock or it would blow the boat back. We ran from Twin up to Marrimac and one other cove close by and man was it rough. Especially on the ride back in, it sure made me glad I was in a big boat. We managed 41 keepers and were back before lunch. I decided to cancel the afternoon trip. Anyone heading out be safe, its dangerous out there. I hope tomorrow it doesnt blow me off the lake again. Jason and Michael both have a opening this weekend so call if you would like to go catch some fish.  Enjoyed it Jim & Jim, thanks

Nice catch in the tough conditions. I just sat outside and watched the wind. Very windy!

Boy am I glad I was with Chuck yesterday. With my dock shooting abilities I'd never would have got that jig under them. I never thought I would get tired of catching crappie, but I did. That"s why those sandies were a treat. Excellent time I had! Thanks again Chuck.

I definitely got rocked today even in a protected part of the lake. Big boats are nice for open water riding, but a bit difficult to control on the TM... oh well!
