Headed up this weekened, traveling north on 35 to 377, launching at 377 bridge. Are there any stores that sell shiners or saltys, and that are open at 5:30 or 6:00 in the morning. Thanks everyone.

I believe the Tackle Box opens up by 6:00???? It's close to the turn that goes to High Port marina. I believe they sell saltys and shiners. I wish you the best of luck. Hopefully the wind will lay down. I believe it's located on FM 121 in Pottsboro.

Tackle Box is 30-45 minutes away from where you are wanting to launch. I don't know that area very will so I'm not sure if there is a bait shop near by there or not.

Good Luck,
Brian

You might try calling Anderson fish farms, guys who raise the Salties and ask them where they have dealers.

I know that the sandusky store has reopened but not sure if they have shiners. possibly if anyone knows if there is somewhere i could get them by lake access. just such a big lake to be driving the truck all the way around. quicker by boat thanks guys. also if anyone has the number to the sandusky store would be greately appreciated

I'd love to have contact info to Bubba's; I'm headed to Texoma on May 10 and could use some shiners too.

Bubba is good people and runs a good shop. I like dealing with him and his bait is solid quality.

One of his goldfish caught this one for us yesterday (over by the islands):

Very true but only about 5 min from Highport Marina, and it's fairly close to where you wanna launch by water. thumb
