Well, as we have been stating, the fishing is really good now on Texoma. We are catching easy limits on bait and have just started an early morning and late evening top water bite. I went out yesterday evening and caught 15 over stripers and a 22" smallmouth on bone spooks. It was great and this morning we got our overs up to 7lbs and a few box fish all on spooks before the sky brightened up.
I am having a camera issue and will post the pics from this week ASAP.
I have had a cancellation for this sunday the 25th if anybody is interested as well as several open weekdays next week. Prices are $75 per person with a 2 person minimum. Children under 12 fish free with a paid adult.

Hey Craig, James here, my wife and I along with two of our sons will see you Sunday mourning, but have a question, if it is storming will you still be going out, just wondered, from what the weather said, rain for three days, do you think we should bring our ponchos.

Hey James, it looks like the rain is going to be more on friday and saturday, but, it is texas so I would at least put your poncho's in the car when you come. We fish in rain but not lightning or high winds. Usually if there are storms we either wait for them to pass or go out and fish and then run in before they get here. I always have the radar pulled up in the boat and will not let us get caught up in any storms.
I will talk to you on Saturday evening and we can look at it again.

No problem with that, we can bring plenty of trash talk that will be the easy part LOL. Looks like we could get some cloud cover, look forward to that.

Well, the last 5 days have been good on Texoma as usual. We have had days where we get a limit in 30 minutes and some days where we have to fish a couple of hours depending on the weather and wind, which have changed every day. I had the priviledge of fishing with some new customers and a few repeats and had a blast with all of them.
Water temps are around 65 degrees and the fish are still on a strung out spawn pattern with some fish empty, some with ripe eggs and some with immature eggs. They are hungry and some of the bigger fish are getting skinny. We are seeing the gizzard spawn happening and hopefully that will give us some bait before long but shiners are still working well.
One of the best keys to finding fish at this time is working the edge of the river channel. The ledges off of Washita are producing good numbers of fish and anywhere along the channel in 40-45 feet of water should produce. There are also good fish along the creek channel in Little Mineral. I have been catching good fish following the channel all the way to the mouth of LM.
We were able to catch some topwater fish on the cloudy mornings but nothing overly big in size for the last few days. I have a few Sunday openings for may available(16th,30th) as well as several weekday spots including this Thursday the 6th. June is booking up for out of school season so let me know if you are interested. Prices are $75 per person with a 2 person minimum. In the event of a quick limit we will always catch and release as possible to prolong your outing!

The striper fishing is still hot here and we are getting good fish and most days it does not take long. I had the pleasure of fishing Wednesday with Stacy and Linda and their 3 year old grandson Tristan. We were able to get on some decent box fish and had some great fun using light tackle. We got to the end of a limit and needing 2 more I decided to stop at a hump in little mineral where I have been getting bigger fish and the first drop, Stacy sticks a good fish and we get 2 good pulls and the fish tears off, next Linda gets a good over, and Stacy gets a good over. We decide to stay on em and CPR some fish and then Linda sets the hook and the fight is on. After the first 2 runs I decide it is not a striper and we wait as she works with a 7' spinning combo with 10lb spider wire. After about 6 minutes we get him up and its a 15lb flathead. Just as we net her fish, Stacy sets the hook on the opposite side of the boat and the fight is on again. I realize immediately that this is a mated pair of flatheads and Stacy has hooked the mama. Luckily he had just broke off his light tackle and I had baited and handed him a regular bait rod. Well 10 minutes later this finally decides to raise from the depths...... http://i850.photobucket.com/albums/ab61/cncoutdoors/texoma5-8-10010.jpg?t=127336257836lbs on my scales. Sorry Linda after this one came aboard we neglected to get a individual picture with yours. I also found a good way to entertain a 3year old in a white boat.... http://i850.photobucket.com/albums/ab61/cncoutdoors/texoma5-8-10003.jpg?t=1273362707A dry erase marker does wanders. It looks scarier than it is. Just wipes off!!!!!!! Also gives the bait a break from being terrorized!!!!!!!! Poor Tristan wound up getting used as a size board....... http://i850.photobucket.com/albums/ab61/cncoutdoors/texoma5-8-10014.jpg?t=1273362864Hope he doesn't have too many nightmares about giant catfish!!!!! A few more pics of Wednesday..... http://i850.photobucket.com/albums/ab61/cncoutdoors/texoma5-8-10005.jpg?t=1273363017http://i850.photobucket.com/albums/ab61/cncoutdoors/texoma5-8-10007.jpg?t=1273363063http://i850.photobucket.com/albums/ab61/cncoutdoors/texoma5-8-10012.jpg?t=1273363120Friday, had Jerry and his crew out and it was a little slow with the front coming. It was something having the wind go from 20mph southerly to 2Omph northerly in about 5 minutes. The boat went on a 180 degree turn on anchor. The fishing was a little slow for me for larger fish and we had to work and make a lot of anchors to get good fish. This group of guys was a blast and we laughed the entire time. It was great fun and I am looking forward to their next trip...... http://i850.photobucket.com/albums/ab61/cncoutdoors/texoma5-8-10015.jpg?t=1273363356I am booked for Mothers Day so I took today off to take care of the Mom's in the family and will be back on the water tomorrow. I have several days open this week and my weekends are booked into June so if you have a week day that you want to fish let me know. Prices are $75 per person with a 2 person minimum to book.
