Meet Maverick L. Davies, a.k.a RiverMaverick.  This little blessing came into our lives and hearts 7 weeks early on April 27th at 6:56 AM. 4.9 pounds, 18 1/2" long. Shortly after being born, the poor little man had to be put on life support in the NICU due to breathing difficulties and not eating. By 11:PM last night he had been moved to a open crib in the non-emergent premie ward, breathing fine, keeping his own body temp up to snuff and eating like a horse.  Mother and child doing fine.

Congrats! What hospital? My mom is a nurse in the NICU at Cook Childrens in Ft. Worth.

Outstanding, Grandpa. I can hear it now.... 7-8 yrs from now... "Mommy, Mommy, look what Grandpa showed me how to do"... as he pulls a baby snake out of his pocket and nose hooks it.... good times a comin' on the Braaaazos... Great to hear mom and baby are well.
