He spooked the fish! We did not do very well after he landed. That is the story I am telling anyway. Kerry, I did not see you out there. We must have been close to each other. We motored past the sea plane and the pilot was sun bathing on top of the wing. I did not think to take a photo.

The fishing was good early at Twin Trees and a couple of other spots. We could not buy a bite after about 10 AM. Left at noon. Four of us caught 46 with a couple of them being keeper hybrids. It was catch and release today. Saw Boston Bob with his better half and fly and friend. I am sure some of you beat us today! laugh

It was probably CaptD checking out your sweet spots...

Was it a small single engine plane or a multi-engine Catalina? I've seen 2 seaplanes here in Texas - a single engine job on Palestine and a Catalina on Whitney. I had some pictures of the one on Whitney. I'll have to look for them and post them.

I was north of the dam on a huge school of sandies & hybrids surfacing in 55 ft of water when he made his first fly-by. Thought he was going to land on me eek
Redfin, it was a twin prop plane.

All I can say, you are the man. I met up with Boston Bob and Wife and Shutupandfish. Saw Fly with John earlier but a tough day out there. I'll be in touch soon.

Gray/silver color? If it was, it was the Catalina I saw at Whitney.

Didn't see any 50-cal's sticking out the sides did ya.... laugh laugh He was probably trying to "bait" some of those unpolite yatch captains in, then show them what a BIG WAKE is, prop wash and all!

Ever been buzzed by an F-4 phanthom flying super sonic over the dead treetops? Luckily I saw him coming before I heard him and covered my ears. Almost shook my carp out anyway. Happened to me several years ago down on Choke when a bomber on the way to the bombing range near Freer, out of ingleside decided to get cute. He did it several times to fishermen and got reprimanded from what I hear and it never happened again after that. Staring out at that plane coming straight at me I could almost feel those crosshairs. Scary!

That's about what that F-4 looked like from my vantage point. Good ole South Texas it's like a box of chocolates. Just never know what your gonna git.

Redfin,

The plane looked new to me. It had two engines and was what they used to call a flying boat. The fuselage sat in the water. It was about one-half the size of a Catalina, and I have seen one of them land on LL also. Wish I had taken a photo. Also, a float plane flew past us yesterday, but did not set down. One of my guests yesterday is a pilot and he thought the float plane was a Cessna (182 or something like that). He did not know what the one on the water was.

There was a twin engine, Blue (I believe a Russian manufactured plane) that was performing " touch and goes on Lake Texoma". I was running towards lighthouse from the mouth of the little minneral, and he landed 100 yards to the south of me, turned around, and took off again. Pretty plane, very pretty.

We saw the same plane. It was a twin engine and I believe tan & green in color. He buzzed a lagre flotila of boat yesterday morning on LL and the he landed. We left after the fishinh slowed and went back to the West side of the lake to meet up with the family. Later that afternoon he flew low over us again at the Highland Village camp site.
