i caught my biggest catfish ever Saturday..Can someone let me email a pic of it and let me know if it is a Channel cat? If so, i may have filleted a record catfish

I think the IGF record for a Channel Cat is close to the mid 50's? Can't wait to see the pic.

state record channel cat i saw online is 38 inches and 36 pounds...if this was a channel....mine is longer than the record one for sure

that's a big channel man. I like how you measured it too! hahaha. You should have gone to your nearest baitshop and tried to get it on a certified scale. But at first glance, I wouldn't say it's over 30lbs. But none the less, a great fish!

I see steaks (catfish) on the grill, i see fillets in the skillet, and i see a whole cat baking in the oven, any of a number of ways, you can't lose! Some mighty fine eats you got there! Oh yeah, you can cube cut the meat and make ceviche too! Some kinda good!

Can't wait till the weekend to go fishing again! Broiled a catfish steak out of part of it already...Tasted darn good!
