Why in the world would you want to cook Stingray when you have all of the great tasting salt water fish around Galveston. Thats almost like going to a Hooters and carrying the wife.

I've heard of people searing them, like scallops. Maybe wrapping in bacon too? Sounds like it would be good.

In California I used to catch bat rays and stingrays off of piers and the beach. Most of the time I could sell them off to Oriental people. They seemed to seek me out and find me. Anyways they said it tasted like scallops and cooked them in simillar fashions.

Use a cookie cutter to cut out biscuits, then cook like scallops. I've also had them blackened and it was great.

Anywhere you go and see "bay scallops", it's really stingray fins not actual scallops. Cooked right you can barely even tell the difference.

i hope half the people here can taste, or at least see the difference of a scallop and ray.

on that note they're good when cooked right, but nothing like a scallop. i need to catch me another one though, a nice surf side ray has some good meat, i've been tangling with too many tiny rays in the bay. i wouldn't mind a big one though! heading out to PINS in june.
