My family and I are heading south of Galveston in two weeks can anyone give me an update or report on the offshore fishing, we can't wait this will be the first family trip in over 3 years.

any reports on how the weather will be down there this coming weekend. I'm planning on going down to the pass to try a hook be a Red.

any reports on how the weather will be down there this coming weekend. I'm planning on going down to the pass to try a hook be a Red. You may want to hold off. I wanted to go this weekend as well but since Sunday the chances for rain have gone from 10% to 50% for Galveston. I checked my phone at work and it looks to be getting worse.
The only thing dumber than a fish is a fisherman.

Hey Trout Scout, sorry to ask but new to fishing here, but hat do you mean working the full moon phase? back home the tides are on at full moon and it's usually good fishing anytime during this time off year, especially in shallow water. But then again I'm from the east coast of Canada and the waters there are alot colder.
