Going to fish Limestone in a couple of weeks and was wondering what is going on down there? Never been on that lake. Any help would be great. Also where can I find a good map of the lake? Thanks for all the help guys.

Yeah head to the dam and you should catch them on yellow worms, (i know that sounds crazy) but it works awsome, usualy in about 15 to 20 ft of water

If u can find grass fish it hard. The grass has been sparse for 3 years now. I would look at some shallow to medium crankbaits on the timber and boat houses of the points exiting good spawning areas. I like gushing the lake but it is tuff. Let me know if u find em because I'll be down there memorial day weekend.

That's a tough lake... The gar population is so large it really is ridiculous and not many fish of any species make it to a mature size IMO. Been fishing that lake for 15 years and have pulled very few quality fish out of it.

Most of the posts above are correct. I fished some this past week end. The lake is above full and really off color because of the rain. Usually this time of the year is the best, but due to the cold weather and lots of rain it is tougher than usual. My best baits have been chartreuse bandits crank, red rattle trap, or black lizards. Good luck

Yeah, there is also a sunken helecopter on the first mainlake point from the dam on the west side of the lake. Its pretty easy to find, its about 100 feet of the bank. It usually holds fish all year long and good ones! Any kind of jig or carolina rig plastic works good for me. The best color is black, yellow, or orange pumkinseed.

One other thing that has worked good for me in the past is when i put on sun screen i rub a little on my worm or bait. This sent and oil from the suncreen is the best attractant you will ever find for bass fishing. Im serious they can smell it from up to 20 feet away. Make sure you give that a shot. Good luck!!
