Put my boat in at 5 today just north of the colony right off main. Got in and noticed thousands of dead crawfish washed up in the shallows. The water kinda smelled like raw sewage. Naybody know something bout it. BTW got out immediately and went and washed myself then headed over to LAvon and caught 15 nice keeper crappie.

While fishing at a local playa lake in Lubbock recently, I noticed alot of dead fish and a sewage-like smell. When I looked closely, I saw small bubbles coming up from the bottom. They smelled like methane. Maybe it was from rotting debris on the bottom, just a guess. Wondered if that was what killed the fish. Don't know.

The wastewater plant dumps into Stewarts Creek there on the north end of The Colony.
