I picked up an American Rodsmith Champion worm rod for $59.99 on clearance at Academy. Original price was $79.99. Matched it with a Shimano Citica 200E. Will try it out tomorrow if the weather cooperates.

Some people go to church and think about fishing. Some go fishing and think about God.

FYI,

The castaway rods are made right here in Texas. They're a quality product, reasonably priced and perform well. They may not have the status of some of the pricier rods, but for a starter they can't be beat.
