rolled over and checked the radar at 4:30 ,said to myself just relax that rain is moveing fast your going to be on CC by 8:30 layed back down till 5:30 got the boy up and we left about 6:00 followed the storm right to the lake .sun was just comeing out when we hit the ramp (2 hour drive for us).we saw some birds working just south of mermac point. i came for hybrids so i didnt even get a slab or rattle trap out went for the box of swim baits i buy and never use ,well iam a true beleaver now it wasnt pink but man the big hybrids loved it. (white and sliver wide eye swim shad 4inch).we had 25 fish in the box by 9:30 five hybrids 4 over 20 and one 18. returned 4 hybrids 16 and a few my son thought were sandies. the rest 20 magnum sanddies. tried to go up clear creek but that was not wise the wind came up to 33mph and it was a long ride to the ramp.i think iam going back in the morn.

I want to say thanks to fastguy and all the CC pros that post on this forum thats my personal best on hybrids, and what a blast. the swim baits would still be colecting dust.

No there were a few boats out, the parking lot at the ramp was full when we got there but when we Came in at 12:00 it was allmost empty. Lots of trash in the lake and a few trees down allso.
