I think we are in good shape Robin. Bill ties flies with the soldiers every week. I just use straight floro for Stripers.

Well alright - then I send my gratitude and a request to give us a shot at tying up a mess of flies next time.

Here's a thought and let me know what you think; how about letting us tie up some flies to send home with those folks? We could at least show our appreciation in that small manner. I am sure that most folks here could get behind that effort.

I don't know if we have a large enough window of time to get it done for this trip or not but if you feel its OK I am ready to start tying whatever you want tied.

Of course we'd need fly boxes too.

I expect that Scott is out in a boat on a lake taking people fishing. But will report in as soon as he gets back. Meanwhile, anyone have any ideas on boxes, presentations, etc.? I know that this will be a striper trip but let's see if any other flies might be needed as well.

We hijacked this sucker good didn't we? rolleyes

Maybe since there are not that many Warriors, we could do an assortment for each of them that would fit the waters they're most likely to fish on their own.

that sounds good to me. Let's just go on the theory that it's easier to ask forgiveness than permission. Look to tying forum for details.

I'll put out my email and phone. I already have had some of the TFF send stuff to me, to give to the Soldiers. Just get in touch with me and I'll set something up. I have some guys that are big into tying and would take any type of material. Stuff that maybe you don't have a use for. And if you want to send them a box of flys from You, that would be appreciated, also. Maybe a group of you would like to ty with them at Fort Hood, I can arrange that also. Just get with me and we'll talk. Thanks to all for your considerations.

Hey Trout Bum. I should say that the Fort Worth Fly Fishers made a healthy donation to my Program at Fort Hood. That kind of donation makes trips like this happen. Others that have help make this happen are the Red River Fly Fishers, Ok. Gamewardens Association, High Port Harbour Restaurant, and of course Scott. This is just the first one, Scott and I hope to do atleast 2 more this year. And this is just Texoma, I have several trips planned to other locations. Anybody wanting to help, just call me. Thanks to all. Bill

Ok, I had a long talk with the fish today. Found'um everywhere I went. Now it's up to the weather. Gotta show off my new dock sign. I'm telling you neon rocks!

P.S. If Wingstop in McKinney ask's about their missing sign. I don't know nothing bout it! bolt
