This is only my second day on this board and I want to say this is a great place. I have already gathered a lot of info from some very good people.
I did a search and did not find what I am looking for. Could someone post pics or a link on how to mount a fish finder on a Buster style boat. The transducer is what has me stumped.
Thanks.

Go to home depot and get a strip of pipe strap with holes. Bend it to the shap so that it goes over the edge and in the boat. bolt the transducer to the out side , then you can take it off and on.

Thanks to everyone. All good ideas. Now that it was pointed out, I do remember seeing them mounted on the trolling motors. Thanks again.

I've used both -- transducer and the basspro bracket. I'd go with the makeshift bracket mentioned by turtleboy. It is a lot easier.

I mounted the transducer on the back used silicone and stainless steel screws. I used enough silicone that when it dried you couldn't pry if off it you wanted. I just kept the bottom of the transducer flush with the bottom of the boat.

i have a bass raider boat and the fish finder i bought was the HB 385C portable, it had a suction cup on the transducer. i am pretty sure you can buy a conversion kit that has the suction transducer.

+ 1 / I had the same set up except I also used a small square of treated plywood as the instructions said. I was fearfull at first, but trusted the instuctions and silicone (mucho silicone). Never leaked one bit.

I started out with a "D" battery powered portable model, but ended up breaking the mount for it when my dumb!@# hit the bank - forgot to raise it horizontal first!

Trust the silicone. You'll be fine.
