Thats a lot of Foam!! Not sure what causes that volume of foam to appear? The only thing that I really know about it is that impurities and excess proteins in the water are what causes the foam to form. example, you have a turbulent area in the water that creates air bubble to form in the water, under normal conditions the bubbles reach the surface and pop, but in the right conditions the impurities and proteins thicken and stiffen the cell wall of the bubbles and keep them intact. It's mother natures way of cleaning things up i guess. Same thing is true for the beach, the impurities form a foam on the top and then can be washed and blown ashore. Never seen anything like that though!!

Some say it's sulfur in the water.
Some say it's golden algae.
Some say phosphorous.
Some, like me, say "I dunno."

If its the PK foam you're talking about, my father-in-law was the one who sent the pic's into NBC 5. Finfrock talked about it on the weather one night. They said it was incredible!! They drove right thru it....
