I have an '03 Duramax. My Chevy has 4in lift and 305/70/16's. I get an honest 15-16 miles a gallon, hand calculated. I've gotten 18-19 running a full tank down the interstate, but I've only been on one long road trip in this truck (33 gallon fuel tank). I have an ATS tuner and straight factory exhaust (cut the muffler out). Other than those two, my truck is all factory. Mileage drops quickly if keep my foot in it. I also set my cruise control 2k rmp's when on the interstate, and don't touch it unless I have to.

I am running an 06 3/4 Dodge (5.9) with a manual trans. I am getting 18-18.5. I fill and calculate. I tried chipping and it actually lowered my mpg. A supership is what I purchased. At first I had it on the economy setting and was disapointed so I called them. They said put it on the preformance and stay out of it. I did and still no increase. I did see an increase pulling my boat, 15mpg. I believe the manual trans puts a kink in their programing since that is part of where the programer works. They did take it back.

Try getting a program that increases timing. Thats where you can make power and efficiency.

There was a guy that was physically altering the timing sensor.
