How's that trailer working for you? Isn't it one of the fold up trailers from Northern Tool and/or Harbor Freight? I'm considering buying one myself.

K.D. You are correct! That came from Harbor Freight in Carrollton. Works great so far. Very light which is a little bit of a problem but for the most part can't beat the price, I used a 20% off coupon from Popular Mechanics and got it for $250. Downside is you have to put it together yourself, but it's not hard! Took me about 2 1/2 hours or so. Carry's the "YAK" just fine! Oh, other downside. it's so small backing it up is a real pain. you can't see this thing and it turns in a split second. Very difficult to back up with. But again... $250. can't beat that

Thanks for the info. I'm thinking of doing another bassbuster on a trailer. The boat seat makes visibility easier in my instance.

I'm gonna put some PVC poles on this one for reverse reference. Should help a great deal. Good luck with the "BUSTER"!

Be careful with that trailer if your making long hauls 150+ miles one way at high speeds/highway miles. Those small wheels will burn the bearings up. My buddy burned his up and by the time he noticed the bearing welded it's self to the axle and it ended up being $$ to repair. Also make sure you don't submerge those bearings in water either, that will eat them up quick also.

Good point Clouser. I had noticed they sell 2 versions and one has what they list as "high speed wheels". That's the one I'll buy.

Thanks for the heads up on that! Was thinking about dragging it back to MS this summer for some fishin again. but I think I'll just load it on top of the truck like last time and leave the trailer here for just moving around D/FW. I may see if I can find a way to "upgrade" the bearings for better travel. Any suggestions?

there's not a whole lot you can do. the problem is when you a running 70-80 mph with a 12 inch wheel the amount of revolutions its making around the axle just burns up after hrs of driving. my buddy just modied the trailer with a different axle and bigger wheels, which in the end cost him about the same as the orginal trailer.
if i had to guestimate it, the bearings made about a half dozen trips of 360 miles before they burned up.
you'll probably be fine if your just making short trips, but if you plan on making long trips frequently i would recommend looking for a trailer with a larger wheel. you can also repack the bearings a couple times a year if you are putting it through alot of use, but thats alot maintance.
