If you were gonna key in on one lake close to fort worth and really try to learn the lake, which one would you choose?

Lately I have been going to different lakes but have limited success because I don't fish it that often...I am ready to pick a lake and see if I can learn and improve on it. Thanks for any input you guys have

joe pool is the easiest lake to fish
benbrook has more but its a little harder.
lake arlington has really gone downhill for largemouth
grapevine is hard to fish and is not that good of a largemouth lake.

i would go with joe pool.

WOW, are you serious? Hard to fish and not that good of a largemouth lake? Whens the last time you were on the lake? It routinely puts out 18-24lb bags from spring to fall.

Depending on what part of Ft Worth you live in, will depend on what answer I give you.

South Ft Worth - Pool / Arlington / Benbrook
North/West - Lake Worth / Eagle Mtn
North/East - Grapevine / Lewisville

Lake Worth is a GREAT little lake, if you put the time in to figure it out. It kicked out a couple 20lb bags last year.

I've got a buddy that fishes Lake Arlington and has a lot of success there. An 8, 6, and several 4's in the past two weeks.

Lake Alvarado is super small, but lots of fish and easy to get to if you live in south Ft. Worth. I hooked one last week that ran under the boat and all I could do was to hang on and listen to it peel off drag. It jumped and the line went limp. We've caught lots of fish there over the years.

I would pick Ray Roberts hands down but I don't know if you consider 45 minutes to an hour too far from Fort Worth.

If so, Grapevine would be my next choice. I have had better luck at those two than anywhere else.

Pool has me absolutely stumped. I really like EM, but havent figured it out this spring. Arlington always seems to be hit or miss. Only been out on grapevine a few times and had moderate success. Ive been wanting to try Benbrook too...Im right in the center of fort worth so most of the lakes you guys mentioned arent too far, 20 mins isn't a big deal.
