Is there any public ramp/parking lot @ Joe Pool? I want to go chase some crappies after work some time next week. I found one possible public area at northwest side of the lake on Park Road 1, is this a public ramp? Is Joe pool a good place for crappie?

Yes, Joe Pool is good with crappie. I like to hangout at the Lynn Creek Marina (north side of lake)...it opens 25/8 year around! It located on Lake Ridge Road...if you continue driving on Lake Ridge Road it will eventually turn into Great Southwest Rd.

Is there a fee to launch a boat and parking the car at Lynn Creek Marin?

To the west of Lynn Creek Marin, there is a cove with a lot of standing timbers, is this a good spot?

I fished Britton park. There is suppose to be a $5 fee but when I was there it is just a metal box you put money in. I did not see anyone pay the fee to park or launch a boat. It is located in a cove.

Parking is free....launching is $10 I think. The timbers on the west side to the launch pad are good sometime. Last week in my buddy boat...we only caught 1 and got some bumps. I think the crappies are still in the deep.
