NOT...........winds gusting to 30 MPH made it a safe and enjoyable weekend for the sandies and hybrids, but nothing for us fishermen.

Doesn't anyone feel sorry for me because the wind was so strong, I was not able to fish? Huh??Huh??

Not any sympathy here. I have not fished in months. Hope to soon. Will look for you if I ever get back to the lake.
Any word on George? Hope he is recovering OK.

I bassed fish today in high N winds at a private pond...we caught 16 fish and it was cold and windy and tough...and wet..
I feel your pain..I wanted to fish all weekend..I hate wind....lets get a sailboat!

Chip,
George is doing as well as can be expected for someone who has had a cancerous kidney removed. I've talked with him a couple of times post surgery and he sends his thanks for prayers and support. He will learn the pathology report tomorrow.

PS. I feel like I need some sympathy for not catching loads of fish this weekend. My arms are not even sore from the hook-setting action.

I fished every day this week and will fish every day this next week assuming the rain and lightning stays away. It was an extremely tough week to be out on the water. Early morning and late evening was the only time to get any breaks in the wind. saturday was one of the worst days. I was not enjoying the trip back in about noon through 3.5 ft waves. Maybe this wind will let up soon.

I don't feel so bad about my boat being in the shop all weekend now! At least it forced me to get some yard work done that I had been putting off because the fishing has been so good. I hope to be back after 'em next week.

Karry, my arms are sore from setting the hook Friday afternoon and Saturday morning...and the rest of me is sore from the boat ride in around 12:30 on Saturday. Our 19' FishMaster usually rides pretty smoothly, but Saturday was like riding a bull on the way in.

No wonder my catch was minimal all weekend, I was running around looking for karry's boat, and he wasn't even there
