On the water by 7 and back at the dock by 12:45. No wind, slight overcast and 64° water that is still slightly stained.
I saw Chuck on the way out and ran into Billy later on the southeast side of the lake.
I managed to find 5 legal hybrids today but it was a 17.5" fish bonanza everywhere that I looked. I did stumble into a good concentration of mixed short hybrids and big sand bass in 7' to 13' of water on the west seide of the lake.
Used a 4" CocoMoe in glow in the dark that had the tail dipped in chartreuse Spike-It, a chartreuse glitter CocoMoe, and a couple of top secret baits.

fastguy, do you expect the water to get muddier with the recent rains? Coming down tomorrow morning to do some scouting around.

The south end of the lake is in great shape clarity wise. We didn't get the rain here that they recieved in the greater Dallas area.
It is a bit murkier north of Merrimac island.

Any birds working today, Fastguy? I'm driving down from Longview tomorrow. Hope the bite will still be on.

Can we get a discription of the "top secret bait"? Maybe a picture. I have heard those are good baits.
