Man at my luck! Some of you know my truck was broken in twice 2 weeks ago at the 64 ramp well I was in from work this week and decided to go to Omen landing fished using that ramp twice this week with no problems went today around noon and fished about an hour and my wife wanted to meet me at ramp and bring me some lunch(great wife lol)and walk to my truck and somebody had stolen my trailer spare ,truck spare, jack, both 4ways,and who knows what else. I met a fellow TFF'er who was only other boat at ramp he was loading up but he still had spares but he PM'ed me just now and said both lock nuts on his trailer spare were loose guess somebody pulled up and scared them off. When is this going to stop we are going to have to do something this is getting rediculous.

Not gonna stop until several of them theives get shot. Copper was getting stolen pretty regularly around my part of town. After three different theives met their maker while trying to steal the copper, things slowed down. If you don't feel like putting a bullet in one of them, carry a big arsed basedball bat and make sure to break it over one of their body parts.

Sorry to hear that this has happened to you several times now.

Yeah I am sure a properly placed bullet would slow things down around here and if I can catch them in the act I would love to reach out and touch one of them with a big ole 44 slug.

I just launch at the Marina, the fee is a small price to pay to know that someone is always around those vehicles which helps keep the thieves away. Those lakes are so small you can be anywhere you need to be in no time.

I used to launch at Hillcreek until I pulled up one day and someone had dumped about 200 lbs worth of dead catfish on the ramp, then I quit using Omen when I was changing out my bunk boards one day and about 30 kids rolled up drinking beer and turned loose of their bulldogs. It's a shame that public ramps can't be used on that lake.

The way I look at it is for what it would cost me for one broken window, etc I can pay a launch fee at the marina for a long time smile

Get a sign in your window that says something to the effect of "I take my gun out of my truck and carry it in the boat, I may be able to see you!"

Hey Driller, I wonder if they recognize your truck by now? I used that ramp (Omen) on Sunday from 12:30 til after dark and didn't get broke into.

We need to set up some sort of sting operation pretty quickly. There are enough of us on this site to organize. Lets just let each other know which ramp we will be at and I bet 3 or 4 TFF'ers could circle the ramp a few times a day each or so. When are you going to the lake Next Driller?

Heck, the only problem with that is, they could probably call it pre meditated (setting a bait trap and then hurting or killing the suckers)...that could cost you dearly

Have someone else do it for you. Set up the vehicle, have another group of people standing by with bats, guns or what ever you choose while you are out on the lake. Theives get a little justice handed to them and you come back to the truck while they are laying on the ground. Then play dumb......." Gee, what happened to you guys?" grin

I will only put in at the marina. Went to Hillcreek a few months ago and the only truck there had the passanger window busted out.

I will say I had a toolbox stolen out of the back of my truck at the marina one night about a year ago and know of another friend that had the same thing happen. These were at night though.

I was pissed for months!
