A young man who I coached on the soccer field several years ago is home on leave from Iraq and I'd like to put him on some fish while he's here. If anyone has recent reports on Grapevine (or other Metroplex lakes), I'd appreciate the help.

Hooked into some nice Sand Bass the other day on the south side of the lake using minnows and rattle-traps.
Saw a guy yesterday on the bank catfishing on the north shore, he had 2 nice blues 10 & 12 lbs.

Hey JD,
Has son left any big fish in Lake Grapevine for the rest of us? That kid has good fishing mojo. Have you been rough fishing at all lately? I havent since last summer. Hope to see you soon and good luck fishing,
