I have a question about trolling lures for Sandies.
I'm using a Hell Bender-Leader-Panther Martin setup on one pole and a 3/4 ounce Tail Kicker on another. My boat speed is about 2-3 mph. I'm not having much success on Lake Cypress Springs. (Home Lake) Any suggestions??

Stop trolling fish are holding close to bottom.1st find the fish try 20 to 34 feet of water right now. Try slabs and only pull them 1 or 2 feet off bottom work them slow right now.Slab strait up and bown. They SB will head up on flats in shallow water in a few weeks.Good luck.

Jig, are you catching whites in Cypress Springs? Always wondered if there were any there. I catch a ton of them at Sandlin. When I troll for whites at sandlin, I use Norman lures DD-22 when they are deep, Norman Deep Little N when at 10-15 ft and Little N when at 5-8 ft. Catch lots of whites in summer trolling them when they arent on the bottom and while i wait for them to surface. Last summer and fall I caught 2 fish on the same lure, same time several times, one time did a double with a white and a 2 lb black bass. that was intresting. (and fun)
2 Sundays ago went to sandlin, was planning to go to blowhole, but wanted to try slabbing on east side of 21 bridge first (usually pretty good any time of year there.) DF kept showing lots of arches at 12-15 ft as i drifted, so I started trolling. Caught over 50 whites in about 2 1/2- 3 hrs. Came home with 23, all over 13 inches.
