Anybody ever used them before? I'd used chicken liver many time before, but had never seen chicken hearts. I went to the store to pick up my livers, and I saw the hearts for sale next to them for about the same price ($1) for quite a few hearts. They're much much cheaper than worms and will presumably last longer if you're using them in place of worms. Though I did notice it was harder to cut it small enough to fit on the small hooks to catch perch. They're much easier to keep on the treble hooks than livers, so presumably they'd make better catfish bait. I know the perch loved em about as much as worms, anybody else had any experiences with them?

I used them once but couldn't get the catfish to touch them. They went nuts when I switched to hotdogs. Go figure.
Don't leave them in your cooler overnight though.

get some cheese cloth. its for cooking. its like a small nettting material. wrap some liver in it and tie it on the hook in a small ball big enough to fit in the size cat fishes mouth you are going for. the perch can get to it and knock it off the hook. that way the kittys will find it in one piece

Used them on trotlines. Soak them in anise oil. Use to tear the catfish up with them.

every time I use chicken hearts I end up catching 2 or 3 turtles per catfish I catch. they work great for cats if you can keep the turtles off
