Best to use a 1 8th ounce sinker placed about 16 inches from a gold hook using two live minnows hooked one through the head and one through the tail. My Father taught me this method and it has nearly always produced limits of 3 to 4 lb. crappies for more info on this method and enhancements to it email me at celto@sbcglobal.net. This is a proven method that really work!!! Ohhhhh.... I see what I've been doing wrong. I haven't tried the gold hook with two minnows. Well I might have...but I'm sure it was a silver hook and they were both lip hooked. I'll try the one in the butt method. Will post a follow up when I catch my limit of 4 lb'ers.

If there's a couple of 3 lb'ers in there, post it anyway please, I'd love to see the difference.

god bless the coast gaurd.!!!
COMING SOON! .. THE STICKLE HOOK " the stay level sickle hook". sits level in the water with all knots.! Provides better hook sets and more natural jigging motion. No more adjusting the knot, gluing , or tying loop knots that cause the hook point to tangle in the loop, or worse knick the line.. The jighook that will make all others obsolete !

I think you should make a video to help show all of us idiots how to fish. I think that would be really helpfull. I've never heard of using lights before. You are so very smart.
Please enlighten us on how to catch other species.

guys leave him alone... I just got off the lake and used this method and all I can say is IT WORKED. I caught 1 crappie that weighed 7 lbs. (pic coming soon, as soon as photo shop boots up) I even used a light while the sun is out. AMAZING. Thank you for the tips. I am going to start a minnow farm now.
