What do you mean? Like smallmouth bass? Hybrid stripers?

You see other lakes getting hybrids and stripers, and the last stocking for JP was in 2006 for largemouths. I live close to JP, it would be nice to have a good fishing lake close by..

Some lakes just don't have the forage base to support hybrids. I'd imagine Joe Pool falls into that category.
I guess being close to good fishing lakes is relative. To me, there are tons of great lakes around the metroplex.

That is really the only kind of bass that Joe Pool has to get more of. That's why there is a slot on Large Mouth Bass there.

Shouldn't be a problem getting the 4 unders. Getting the over is the tricky part. Wouldn't mind having two, since it's a team tourney, but let's not get greedy.

They appear to have an abundance of carp spawning at Joe Pool

Yes they do. Everywhere... They need a bowhunting tournament.
