I was looking to buy a casting rod for around 80 dollars. Are there any suggestions for a quality rod at that price. Thanks

Team All Star rods come in at $80 and the Falcon HD is even a little less I believe. Both can be found at Academy. The Team All Stars are great rods, the Falcon is brand new but has top quality components and Falcon's in general are good rods.

You can't go wrong with a good falcon or all star. I have used both but as of late I have been buying American Rodsmiths and can't be happier.

Some times academy has there 99.00 castaways marked down to 79.00. I fish with castaways and all stars and they are both great rods. The castaways are rediculously light.

The Falcon original is a good rod for the money. I am not in anyway slamming the Falcon HD it probably is a good rod as well but, they have a made in another country sticker on them.
At least my boat and truck are paid for, woo hoo!

I've got five 7 1/2' BPS Cranking Sticks in medium and medium heavy. I use them for everything. At $69.00 they're really a great rod.

I picked one up at Cabelas for the same price. I got the jig/worm model. Looks very well made. Will try it out tomorrow.
