Best I can tell this is pink slime mold. Ideas? Harmless in the garden?

with pink slime mold on your mulch.

it should not affect your plants.

let it grow I think it might be a stinkhorn fungi in the early stages of some sort...kind of rare in our neck of the woods...or you could just sprinkle a small amount of sulfur on it and in the area and kill if off...up to you.

I didn't put mulch where this stuff is. I'll let it grow and keep an eye on it.
