These were caught by me and some of my crew out of Galveston over the last few weeks. I thought that I would share them with everyone since I am land locked for a few weeks. Im glad the season has started back up.

Did you guys tag the sharks as you released them? I'd swear that I see at least one with a dorsal fin tag (yellow shirt pics).

What species of sharks are in those pics? I'm guessing sandbar in some of the pics, but I'm not really sure .... all in all, looks like you had a blast!

Yea we tend to tag all of our sharks before we release them. There are blacktips, bull sharks, and sandbars in the pics.

Awesome Maddog, what type of setup did you use, I'm new to fishing in the gulf but am interested in shark fishing. Any info on bait and where to go would be great.

The T-Head on Bob Hall Pier is hard to beat for shark. PINS (Padre Island National Seashore) is also a great place, but would not recommend going without a 4x4 and stuff to help when/if ya get stuck. Not sure what part of the Gulf you're close to but, hear they get some good shark fishin out of Galveston also.

We tend to use penn senators and avet lxs spooled with braid and topped with mono. We use all different types of bait, including rays, sheephead, jacks, mullet, ect. I mainly fish Galveston and have pretty good luck on the west end.
