Funny thing is I was thinking about something like this as I was driving home watching all these people take pictures of their families sitting in the bluebonnets on the side of the roads.

a lot of people go tromping through blue bonnets with kids, toddlers, babys and dogs with out even thinking about snakes. I've seen more rattlers in blue bonnets than i have in the rocks, roads, under deer blinds. stay safe out there and use a walking stick or something to stir up that grass and such.

People taking that Kodak moment is exactly what I thought of when I first saw these.

Snakes go where they can eat something. I had a peach tree in my backyard and attracted more snakes that eat the mice and birds that come to eat the fallen fruit. I think snakes have good hunting in with the nectar. I cut down that peach tree, after the first rattler.

Maybe there is something wrong with me but I think those are beautiful pics!
Contrast the delicate and colorful flowers with the rough and dangerous snake.
That's screen saver material right there!

Why does the snake handler have weird socks on?? Does he dress like that on purpose? Or is that a disguise so the snake won't see him?

Great shots. This is why I've always been opposed to the picture in the bluebonnets. :p

That's screen saver material right there! I totally agree. I wish I had the oppertunity to take these shots. As a photographer I would loved to be in position to compose these shots.
