great fishing up on north end of EM on cut shad. 5-8 ft water . 3/8 oz slip sinker above swivel and 18" leader n the kicker is a small #4 hook . not 4/0 but a #4 bait keeper hook. Oh ; forgot the fish count - Sunday 04/11 = 12 cats ..... Monday 04/12 = 13 cats . didnt weigh them all but over 50lbs of good eating cats .

If I'm lucky I'll die with a 7' spinning rod in my hand.

I usually go when the water gets in the 70's and catch em spawning up on the rocks. Any of those fish have eggs yet? Probably a little too soon but this time last year; I did pretty good.

Took the boys out Sunday afternoon and did pretty good. Fished a wind blown bank in about 2-3ft of water w/ shad, punch bait, & crawlers. It did not seem to matter; 7 blues all over 5lbs and 2 nice channels and we only fished a few hours. The kids had a blast and both have a new pb. I didn't see any eggs.

04/13/2010 fished from 7:15pm till dark... 8:45pm caught 2 skillet cats and one nice 18" blue . 3 drums and 1 2lb sandie. caught in same place = up on nw side of EM off the dock in 5-7ft water on live whole shad or cut shad. missed a few bites but left them biting anyways. that was just my 3 boys fishing . too busy to even drop a line.
