Yep big rock. I have seen a disturbing site on that rock before. Some dude in a wakeboarding boat pulls up to the rock and lets his two children climb as far as they can up the rock and lets them jump off the side into the water. Kids couldnt have been over 11 years old and one looked about 9. The kids could have easily jumped into some shallow water or tripped off the other side and rolled down the rock to their death. I said out loud, "THATS REAL SAFE, YOU DUMB A$$!". He just turned and looked at me confused. Some people have no brain.

You've only seen people jump off of the rock one time? Hope you stay away from walling bend if that bothered you!

Im not saying there are not places to jump off into the lake that would be safe for an adult or a teenager, but if i had small children like that, i wouldnt be letting them climb that high in the air on a big rock by themselves to jump into the water. That situation could turn fatal in no time.

didn't mean for that to come across the way it did. I was just thinking about all the people i've seen jump between the trees off of walling bend. I agree with you, the idiots come out in full force sometimes on the weekends on whitney!

Man, The last 4th of July we anchored up there and just hung out a couple of hours. Seen a bunch of crazy people doing a bunch of crazy things on that rock. I havent been to the lake in a while. It looks like the lake has got plenty of water now though.
