i've caught several bass from that pond as well, it'll become better as it warms up. I also pulled out a large carp on a fluke a week ago

if you really want to have some fun just take a can of corn and an ultralight. Corn on a treble hook, splitshot a foot above. Big fun. They'll hit bread on topwater in the summer.

The canyon lakes system has a fishable bass and crappie population.I caught three bass on three cast last week in McKenzie park. They aren't trophies but they were fun on an ultra light spinning rig.

It's great to see a dad and his son fishing together. Those will be the best times for both of them.
We got over an inch of rain today. The playas will be a little fuller now. With the water getting warmer, fishing will improve.
Caught this cat at 19th & Vicksburg. 12lbs X 28". I was playing hooky from work and when I brought him home, the wifey wasn't to happy that I was fishin' instead of earning $ for her to spend. We ate him and saved grocery money though.

By the way, you might want to check out the MINOMAX castable framed minnow seine @

www.minomax.com

We're making them here in Lubbock
