So my friend has been telling me about this huge tank that is on his neighbors land. We haven't ever gone over to it because no one lived on the land and we didnt want to piss off someone that comes out there randomly. Well apparently his dad talked to the owners (it's actually locked up in an estate and 4 kids own it and no one ever goes to it) They are saying there is a tank out there that is about 5-6 acres. They say it is very rocky and one side of it has a steep cliff area.

What would you bring with you? It's a pretty rough trek to get there so I'm not wanting to take a huge tackle box, but I may take it just in case. We don't know what's in there, but that's what we are trying to figure out.

Any suggestions?

what ever you take carry it in a back pack. it will make your journey a heck of a lot easier. First aid kit and try to find the gps location on google earth so you can tell people where you are at in case of emergency. Man sounds like a honey hole. Bring your whole box if you can and have a good time. Take pics to share. I am curious of your expedition.

Thanks, we are going to try to go down there in a little bit if everything goes right. We do have permission from the guy that lives in town and has partial ownership of it I guess.

Id say spinners and rattle traps. Maybe a rooster tail and some power worms.

take the kitchen sink, but start with your confidence baits, what you are most comfortable with will usually give you the best chances because you fish them confidence. From there just change it up as needed until you start to put a pattern together.
All lakes are difference, when we were kids we fished a bunch of farm ponds and we always knew what baits worked at each pond, but what always worked in one pond may not work at all in another pond. There are too many variables to know anything for sure but when I fish new waters I always start with the baits that I love to fish.
